Mullaghmore

Thumb Rock

A beautiful reef, relatively easy shore access, this reef offers abundant life during the summer months - huge schools of horse mackerel, angler fish, dog fish, crays, lobster and the occasional dolphin to mention a few!

Max depth here is ~28m, but thanks to the gentle decline, any desired depth up to this can be enjoyed

Raughly

Max depth here is ~8m, a nice bed of kelp and a small reef provide shelter for a decent variety of marine life, and the shallow water means light penetration is rarely an issue, even in the depth of winter!

Raghly, Lissadill, Sligo, Ireland

Aughris Head

This protected little harbour has a max depth of ~5m. There is a little reef running North of the harbour which hold a nice mix of life, running down to a bed of sand, making any solitary fish easier to see.
